The other day I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this look of Olivia Palermo during Paris Couture Week and nearly fainted from the perfection. So today I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys why I think this outfit is an A+, and why Olivia Palermo is once again the crème de la crème of fashion's most stylish. Let's dive in!

The Ensemble:

In this look, Olivia masterfully nails a modern take on a timeless French look. She creates this elegant outfit by pairing a very current Dior checked dress with the classic look of a scarf tied around her neck (the scarf also Dior). For shoes, Olivia goes with a pair of pointed-toe, Jimmy Choo flats with a black bow detail on the top.

Why this Works:

Olivia is the queen of mixing and matching different patterns and style aesthetics, and naturally this outfit is no exception. What makes this look work is the fact that she took an almost stereotypical, outdated French look (in tying her scarf around her neck), yet made it modern and youthful by marrying it with a dress whose silhouette and neckline are very of the moment. And the flats not only keep this outfit looking young and fresh, but the bow detail on top romanticizes the entire look in typical French fashion.

Three Words to Describe this Look:

playful, parisian, modern-classic

What do you think of Olivia's look?
I'd love to hear from you!!

Until Next Time!
