Last night were the 2015 SAG awards, and while there were a few notable moments (like Eddie Redmayne's adorably perfect speech for winning best male actor for The Theory of Everything), the most memorable part of night for me was seeing two of my favorite redheaded fashionistas owning the red carpet. Emma Stone and Julianne Moore are by far two of my fav people to watch during award show season. You can just really tell that they care about fashion and they're not afraid to try out different looks or push the limit with their choices. And though their style is off of the charts ah-mazing, the part that I like best about these two is that they seem like the coolest, most wholesome girls in Hollywood. Also, the fact that they embrace their inner paleness, instead of loading on the orangy fake tanner, is definitely an inspiration to my lily-white-skinned-self. Love these two, and can't wait to see their picks for the rest of the award season.

Until Next Time!
M.

P.S. Have seriously considered dying my hair red because of Emma and Julianne...it just seems like a
more unique, fun color-- am I right?

What do you think of Emma and Julianne's looks?
I'd love to know!!

Today is a very special day, as it marks the fact that it's been exactly one year since I've started Girl on the Verge! I cannot even believe that I've been writing on this little blog for a year, and it's pretty crazy how vividly I remember this day last year when I wrote my very first post on Girl on the Verge. I recall it took me around four hours to write my first post (I'm totally serious), because a) I'm a very indecisive person and b) I wanted to make sure I created the perfect introduction for my blog. Most of all, I remember feeling so excited about the upcoming year and being able to express myself on this blog-- one year later and those same feelings haven't changed. I can honestly say that Girl on the Verge has allowed me a creative outlet for which I'm extremely grateful, and that has made this past year so fun and fulfilling.

Most of all I want to thank all of you guys who have kept in touch with Girl on the Verge, have commentated on my posts, and have checked out Girl on the Verge's other social media sites. I love hearing from you guys, and I'm so thankful for every single one of you.

Thanks for a great year, and here's to a fantastic 2015!

Until Next Time!

Hello all of my Girl on the Verge readers!! Well, it's officially the first of January which means that the holiday season is now over (enter sad face emoji here). I had a super fun, super busy holiday season which started off with me leaving for Door County, Wisconsin with my family (and Goose, our German Short-haired Pointer puppy) as a little mini trip before Christmas. It was nice to take a relaxing vacation up north, especially since there was some snow on the ground in Door County.

We arrived back home on the 22nd of December and the next day my sister, cousin and I all went to our grandmother's house to make my grandma's special pecan crescent cookies (they are #ah-mazing). Christmas was a blast, and my favorite present that I received by far was my iPhone 6. I promise I'm not trying to brag at all, but this new phone is a serious upgrade from my old Samsung Galaxy 2 whose overall quality left something to be desired. I'm most excited to be able to take better photos (specifically on Instagram) for Girl on the Verge, since my new phone's camera is like a million times better than my old phone. Finally, New Years Eve was also a relaxing time spent at home with the family. We watched One Direction on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve (because of course), and had a nice New Years day brunch this afternoon. All in all, a holiday season well spent.

How was your holiday season?
I'd love to hear from you!!

Until Next Time!
