Hey guys! I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in some time but in the midst of first semester finals it's been hard to conjure up some spare blogging time, but I'm back and ready to write!
Now onto a more entertaining topic, the Golden Globes were this past Sunday and I've been jonesing to do a review on the fabulous fashions shown. My family and I love the Golden Globes, or any award show for that matter. The celebrities, the red-carpet fashions, it's like being a kid in a candy store full of beautiful people and dazzling garments. So without further adieu, here are some of my favorite looks from Sunday's Globes...
Starting off with one of my favorite looks of the night was Emma Watson in Christian Dior. I mean how beautiful is this girl? Everything about this look is perfection from the red lip to the sleek low-bun, and don't even get me started on that open back and those insanely gorgeous black pants. Chic, cool, sophisticated, love it.
Onto yet another beautiful woman in red, Lupita Nyong'o was one of the most talked about celebrities to hit the red carpet Sunday night. She stunned in Ralph Lauren Spring 2014 with this marvelous caped gown. And that bright red color against her lovely skin tone, so elegant!
This delicate dress Cate Blanchett wore by Armani Privé was grace and elegance mashed up into one stylish ensemble. I love watching Cate on the red carpet because she almost always takes fashion risks, and they almost always pay off. Yet another win for Cate!
Call me crazy, but there's something that I find oddly intriguing about Zoe Saldana's hit-or-miss Prabal Gurung dress. I know a lot of people hated it and I wanted to at first, but for some reason I kept coming back to it and the more I did, the more I fell in love. There's something about that black with the light-ballerina pink that when combined gave off a splendid feminine, romantic sort of vibe. I admire Zoe's risk-taking and whether you loved or hated it, at least it wasn't boring.
Until Next Time!
