The opening ceremony for Sochi's 2014 Olympic winter games was this past Friday and I have only one word...incredible.
Nothing gets me feeling more patriotic and sentimental than the Olympic games; just throw a few "Thanks Mom" commercials on the screen and I'm a ball of messy tears. It may sound cheesy, but there's just something about the best athletes coming from all over the globe to compete on the world stage that gets me all verklempt.
And undoubtedly one of the best parts of the Olympics has got to be the opening ceremony. A highlight, for me, of the ceremony (besides the insanely-incredible show) is seeing the different outfits each individual country chooses to send their athletes out into the arena with. Below I've shared some of my favorite looks of the night and would love to hear what your guys' best looks of the ceremonies were!

Starting off with team USA, these outfits reminded me of something you would find people wearing in an old-fashioned ski resort. And while some thought the look to be reminiscent of an ugly Christmas sweater, I actually thought they were pretty adorable and were much different than what everyone else was wearing, so whatever your position, at least America stood out!
Team Bermuda made my day by rocking their infamous Bermuda shorts in the opening ceremony, which was impressive due to the fact it was a chilly 45 degrees that night. Now that's some dedication.
I thought Norway's outfits were the most on-trend that I saw that night. I loved the simple white and blue and the chic pop of metallic combined with the red of the zipper and the flag! Nice job Norway!
There's something that I love about this outfit in all of its craziness. It's so bizarre and
different that it works in my book.

And last but not least, our hosts of the 2014 winter Olympics, the Russians were sporting
some very cute, very traditional outfits last Friday night. Loved it!

But of course I can't talk about the Olympics without mentioning some of the cuties from these winter games. I first need to talk about Mark McMorris...oh my goodness. This Canadian free-style snowboarder is so gorgeous he should be called Mark McDreamy (okay I know that was bad, but you should see this guy). Also, Sven Kramer, a speed skater from the Netherlands might just be an angel sent from heaven above. I never thought I could love something so heavily covered in orange until I laid my eyes upon this hunk of adorable. Ugh.
Hope you are all enjoying the Olympics as well!
Until Next Time!
